Meet the new NASC Board

At the recent Annual General Meeting, NASC unveiled an expanded Board that reflects both the breadth of experience within our membership and the organisation's ambitions to modernise and professionalise its governance and to build greater resilience for the future.

Led by its new chairman, past-President David Brown, the Board brings together leaders from across the membership, combining decades of practical industry experience with expertise in governance, business leadership, safety and standards. Together, this new team will help steer NASC as it continues to grow membership, strengthen engagement through a new regional structure and champion the highest standards across the industry.

Clive Dickin, Group CEO, explains that this expanded board, which will grow by a further member when a representative of the Regional Chairs is appointed later in the summer, is a major step forward for NASC.

“We’re entering a new chapter, but members will always be the lifeblood of any trade organisation and its vital they feel that direct connection to the executive, with the ability to influence strategic direction and challenge major decisions. It’s a step forward to a more professional and grown-up approach to governance.

“I am also looking forward to getting input from a range of people with different experiences and perspectives. We now have two experienced scaffolders on the board as well as those who have held leadership positions in scaffolding firms for many years. NASC and CISRS now operate a wide range of functions, setting standards, training and certification, running major events, publishing magazines and digital content. We therefore need a broader range of experience and skills on the board to reflect this.”

Here's a quick Who’s Who of those helping to shape the next chapter for NASC:
