NASC knowledge, now powered by AI

NASC has launched a new AI-powered assistant, giving members and CISRS Centres a completely new way to access the knowledge, guidance and expertise built up across both organisations.

For decades, NASC and CISRS have developed an extensive knowledge base covering technical guidance, health and safety, standards, training, competence and the many practical issues faced by scaffolding businesses day to day. Until now, finding a specific answer has meant knowing which document to look in and working through it. The new assistant changes that.

Members and CISRS Centres can now ask a question in their own words and quickly find the relevant information from across the NASC and CISRS knowledge base. Whether the question relates to TG20, SG4, technical standards, health and safety, training, competence or CISRS itself, the assistant will help locate the relevant information, explain what the guidance says and point towards the source material it came from.

Importantly, it draws exclusively from NASC and CISRS resources. That includes member and centre-only guidance that is not publicly available, so the answers come from the industry's own body of knowledge rather than from the open internet.

The practical benefit is time. Rather than searching through multiple documents and webpages to find one piece of information, the assistant brings the relevant knowledge together in one place, making it easier to find, easier to navigate and available whenever it is needed.

Mark Collinson, Head of Technical at NASC, said:

"The guidance has always been there, but knowing exactly where to look for it has not always been straightforward, particularly for smaller businesses without a dedicated technical resource. This gives members a much quicker route to the right information, and it always points back to the source document so you can check it for yourself. It is not a replacement for reading the guidance properly, but it makes finding the right part of it far easier."
