CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Card

The CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Card is aimed at operatives who carry out onsite labouring/driving duties in support of scaffolding operations.

Scaffolding Labourers are only allowed to work from a safe secure position i.e ground, building floor/fully protected roof or a fully completed scaffold platform.

Scaffolding Labourers looking to progress on to Part 1, can use this onsite experience of scaffolding activities in preparation for their training.

If the employer deems the employee competent, they can issue a personal safety harness to the employee to enable them to work off a fully boarded platform with a single guardrail in place (SG4). As the COTS course does not include specific SG4 training, the employer must provide SG4 personal safety harness training and retain a record of this training.

Full SG4 training is provided in the CISRS Part 1 course.

Scaffolding Labourers are not permitted to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding.

CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Cards are valid for 5 years.
