It’s been a busy March for the CISRS team, both here in the UK and overseas.

CISRS has run two fully-funded CPD refresher pilot courses at NCC Midlands in Birmingham during February and March. Both of the courses delivered by lead Instructor Tony Barry received very positive feedback from the course delegates.

The NASC and CISRS will be exhibiting at “The Health & Safety Event” at the NEC in Birmingham from March 21st to 23rd, on trade stand H32, right opposite the main conference theatre.

CISRS are delighted to announce the opening of a newly accredited CISRS Overseas Scaffolder Training Scheme (OSTS) facility in Oman.

Following a consultation exercise in the of summer 2016 an NASC working group was formed to review feedback and agree modifications and amendments to TG20:13 at time of next revision.

CISRS in collaboration with three of its accredited training providers will be running a series of pilot courses next month for its new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course, which is set to go live on 1^st of July 2017.

NASC Apprentice of the Year 2016 Award winner Kier Phur of TRAD Scaffolding Co Limited has been presented with his winner’s trophy and a cash prize of £500 by CISRS Scheme Manager and NASC Director of Training, Dave Mosley and award judge and Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Special Projects Manager, Paul Gaze.

The NASC has announced the results of its Apprentice of the Year 2016 Award at its Annual General Meeting in Amsterdam (Friday November 25th) – with Kier Phur TRAD Scaffolding Co Limited winning, Lisa Duncan of A & J Maintenance Support Limited named as runner-up and a posthumous special mention going to Mike Towell of Interserve Industrial Services.
